Pecha Kucha night is an open mic night for designers/artists/photographers/etc to share their projects, inspirations or dreams with the world. Each speaker gets 20 images to display and 20 seconds to talk about each image. Its a casual atmosphere for the creative class to converge and converse. Come enjoy one of the three nights.

AIGA is hosting a student mixer in SF this thursday in San Francisco. The event is free for all AIGA student members and $5 to non-members. Food and drinks will be provided. Get a few friends hop in the car pool lane and mix it up. Link below to info page.

About the logo contest

GRIDS is in the process of redesigning its logo, as we want your help! A student design organization ought to have one of its own create its logo, so we are holding a contest to redo the existing logo. Winner takes $200 (and a bit of pride). The winner will also receive an award certificate and an honorable mention on our website (re-design coming Summer 2009 as well). This is a great opportunity to kick off the summer, win some cash, and add a piece to your portfolio!
